A Bit On Us
Our early education and care service nurtures and educates babies through to five-year-old children while offering long day care in Botany.
Privately owned and operated by Mrs Heike Jordan-Busch since 1994, Hippo’s Friends is a standalone centre, independently run with a strong community focus.
As a parent, choosing the right early learning environment for your child is an important decision. The choice you make will shape your child’s first experience of education.
We provide a secure, warm and engaging environment where children can experience adventure, growth and learning.
Our program aims to support children’s natural curiosity, eagerness to learn and love of communicating with others.
Hippo’s Friends’ learning environment is designed to spark curiosity and continually challenge children’s thinking.
We welcome 43 children each day, supported by four Early Childhood Teachers and a diverse team of Diploma qualified educators.

Opening Hours
Our service is open 50 weeks of the year from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Facilities
Harnessing a child's natural curiosity and energy, our educational childcare program encourages each child to explore and discover their world. Through the power of play and inquiry, children discover the letters, numbers, words and counting that form the foundations of literacy and numeracy.
The Centre's facilities include:

The carefully selected equipment allows children to run, play, dance and explore their world and potential.
Food
A healthy and nutritious menu has been designed for growing, active children and is supplied by the service. Food is included in the daily cost.
