Climate Strike 2019 at Hippo's

For the Global Climate strike in 2019, we sat down with the preschool group to discuss the problems and what we could do to help. Heres what they had to say:

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our children learn, play and grow, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour the ongoing connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, culture and community.

As an early learning community, we are committed to nurturing respect, understanding and belonging, and to teaching children to care for the land and for one another.

 

We recognise that sovereignty was and always will be Aboriginal.
